I earned my undergraduate degree in psychology with a minor in family and child studies from the University of Guelph. I earned my graduate degree in school psychology from the University of British Columbia. As part of my graduate studies, I received extensive training in both education and mental health.
Experience
I became a tutor because I am passionate about education and love working with individuals to help them achieve their goals! I have extensive instructional experience that includes teaching essay writing and editing at the university level. I have also taught and tutored students of all ages in reading, writing, science, and math. I have experience teaching English as a second language both in Canada and overseas. Additionally, I have experience tutoring students with a large range of special needs such as ADHD, ASD, and various learning disabilities. This includes experience with the accommodations and modifications found in IEPs as well as the British Columbia curriculum.
