I recently finished a PhD. in Political Science at The George Washington University in Washington, D.C.
Experience
I have worked as an editor for bachelor's and master's students for five years. I also worked as a teacher's assistant during the first four years of my PhD. During this time I was responsible for leading discussion sections and preparing students for their examinations and class assignments. As my research is on China, I also read and speak Mandarin Chinese fluently. During the year I spent conducting research in Beijing, I also tutored a couple of Chinese students in English and creative writing. I'm therefore experienced in helping students who speak English as their second language. For the GRE, I scored 1450 and was ranked in the 98th percentile for the verbal section.
