I obtained an IMCPI (International Mandarin Chinese Promotion Institute) professional certificate in April 2014 in Shanghai, China. I got my undergraduate Bachelor of Arts in Economics at Concordia University in Montreal, Canada and Master's degree with MBA concentration in Financial Management at Lamar University in Beaumont, Texas.
Experience
It was great experience teaching Chinese to students with different language and cultural backgrounds in Shanghai, China. My students came from different countries such as France, Portugal, the United States, Japan, Korea, and others. Based on their different abilities to speak, read, and write in Chinese, I offered one on one lessons that taught Chinese from the basic alphabet, tones, and pronunciations to in-depth utilization of the language for research and business purposes. My classes were always personalized for each student since everyone is special. The feedback for my classes was more than 90% positive, which was very joyful and encouraging. I've taught "survival Chinese" to help people get through travel, prep for the HSK (Chinese Proficiency Test), and "Business Chinese" to intermediate and advanced students. I also have experience as an English tutor, where I taught pre-elementary school students in English using cartoons such as "Dora the Explorer.â€
