Experience
Croatian is my first language and I am a perfectionist in it. I also felt the need as an artist of Croatian National Theatre to perfect my language skills. I studied English for ten years and am fluent speaker taking an academic level International English test. I worked at Croatian National Theatre Osijek as opera singer for 7 years, just until i moved to Vancouver in August 2013. I was lucky to have had the opportunity to work in Croatian National Theatre while I was studying solo singing. I worked with some of best national conductors and directors at this highly productive Opera house. I also had the chance to be on stage with many international singers, conductors and directors from Europe and US. Some of the operas and operettas I performed in are: G. Verdi - Nabucco, V. Bellini - Norma, G. Rossini - Barber of Seville, P. Mascagni - Cavalleria Rusticana, W. A. Mozart - Magic Flute, S. Rachmaninof - Aleko, J. Offenbach - Orpheus in der Unterwelt and many others. I conducted a 35 member polyphonic choir for three years. I was passing the knowledge of vocal technique on every rehearsal. I managed to inspire 35 people to work delicately as one in order achieve the best possible results. While working as a conductor I was completely independent organizing rehearsals twice a week and performances once a week plus concerts and humanitarian performances several times a year. I performed with the polyphonic choir on National TV. I also supervised the conducting of children choir for three years organizing their performances as well. I want to be a tutor to pass my knowledge and experience, inspire young people to learn and grow to be positive and love life. To create a better world one day.
